This prelude seeks to explore the feeling of hesitancy in making a choice, especially when both options seem to weigh equally.

From a harmonic point, this is done by linking two unrelated keys, yet close apart. The musical effect should be ambiguous in terms of the changes; yet in the score I use both sharp and flat alterations to indicate the two keys: EM and EbM.

Although the final chord resolves on one key, the process of getting there is always at doubt. Thus the name: Indecis.
